About the Species

This specimen (ODU 3162) was captured Dec. 1, 1967 from Santa Catalina Island: Church Rock (33deg 23.0'N, 118deg 24.0'W)). It was made available to the University of Texas High-Resolution X-ray CT Facility for scanning by Dr. Lawrence Frank of UC San Diego and Dr. Tim Rowe of the University of Texas. Funding for scanning was provided by a National Science Foundation Digital Libraries Initiative grant to Dr. Rowe.

About this Specimen

The specimen was scanned by Matthew Colbert on 25 May 2004 along the coronal axis for a total of 570 1024x1024 pixel slices. Each slice is 0.042 mm thick, with an interslice spacing of 0.042 mm and a field of reconstruction of 19.98 mm.
