About the Species

This specimen was collected from the Santana Formation, Lower Cretaceous, Brazil. It was made available to the High-Resolution X-ray CT Facility for scanning by Dr. David Grimaldi and Dr. Tam Nguyen of the American Museum of Natural History. Funding for image processing was provided by a National Science Foundation Digital Libraries Initiative grant to Dr. Timothy Rowe of The University of Texas at Austin.

About this Specimen

The specimen was scanned by Matthew Colbert and Richard Ketcham on 21 July 2000 along its long axis for a total of 240 slices. Each slice is 0.057 mm thick, with an interslice spacing of 0.057 mm and a field of reconstruction of 13.2 mm.
