About the Species

This specimen of Lepisosteus osseus was collected from Bayou LaBranche, St. Charles Parish, Louisiana by Chris Scheible on 22 March 2000. It was made available for scanning by Dr. Julian Humphries of The University of Texas High-Resolution X-ray CT Facility. Funding for scanning was provided by a National Science Foundation Digital Libraries Initiative grant to Dr. Timothy Rowe.

About this Specimen

The specimen was scanned by Richard Ketcham on 01 December 2000 along the coronal axis for a total of 513 520x520 pixel slices. Each slice is 0.259 mm thick, with an interslice spacing of 0.259 mm and a field of reconstruction of 40.63 mm.
